what this check does
A quick check reads HTML. It is fast and free, and it is not a scan. Here is exactly where the line runs.
The homepage HTML as a first-time visitor gets it: every script and iframe host, tracking pixels in image tags, inline loaders such as gtag( or fbq(, tag-manager and measurement ids, and the fingerprints of the common consent banners.
Each third-party host is matched against the same tracker database the scanner uses, with its provider and category.
Anything that only appears once JavaScript runs: tags a tag manager injects, cookies set after load, pixels fired on scroll or click, and everything on your other pages. A banner injected by script looks like no banner at all here.
"Not found" in this check never means "not there". It means the HTML did not show it.
A real browser loads your pages in each consent state, with consent denied first, and records every cookie, script, pixel, iframe and storage key it meets, with the page and script that set it. The verdict tells you what fired before consent.
